Mijas body could be missing teen Jenna Lepomaki
The body of a person discovered at a plot of Mijas yesterday (Thursday) afternoon could be that of missing Finnish teenager Jenna Lepomaki , police said. It was discovered in a sleeping bag by police searching for Lepomaki following information given to them by Finnish authorities, according to Spanish daily ABC. The Finnish teen, 18, was last seen on June 29 in Fuengirola where she was on holiday staying with friends. The advance state of decomposition of the body has made it impossible to determine if it is the missing teenager. It will be necessary to await the outcome of the autopsy to determine whether it is the girl. According to sources, the Finnish authorities had been tipped off Jenna's body could be in the Los Espartales area located on the road from Fuengirola to Mijas, according to Press reports. Yesterday, around 2pm a large group of Spanish and Finnish officers began a search of the area. The body was discovered in a ravine planted with fruit trees and avocado belonging to a neighboring farm that had been rented a few months ago to a Finnish family. During the operation yesterday one person was arrested, but sources could not confirm possible degree of involvement in the incident.
